SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place made for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
